The Butcher theme gives the season its hook, sure, but the mechanic most players will feel right away is the Killstreak system. Once you get rolling, the pace changes. Packs melt, movement feels better, and leveling stops dragging. The actual loop can be fun when your character is online, but the early stretch feels slow. You spend hours building momentum before the season really opens up. Season 12 is at its best when your build starts flowing and every fight feels just a little unfair for the demons, not for you. -
